Job Overview:

The intern will support the GV AgSys team in Bonn, contributing to projects aimed at enhancing M&E and communication systems. The role is crucial in the context of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, particularly in addressing global hunger and transforming agricultural systems in various countries. The intern will be involved in preparing workshops, developing protocols, and assisting in core tasks related to communication, M&E, and event management. Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for several key tasks, including:
  • Assisting in the advisory processes related to M&E and communication.
  • Supporting projects aimed at expanding M&E and communication systems.
  • Preparing content for workshops, including the development of meeting protocols.
  • Undertaking supportive activities within the core functions of the communication, M&E, and event management teams. These responsibilities will provide the intern with hands-on experience in the field of international development and enhance their skills in M&E and communication.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be enrolled in International Development Studies or a comparable field of study, having completed their foundational studies. Proficiency in German at a native or very good level is required, along with familiarity with the basics of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E). Strong written communication skills and some editorial experience are essential. The candidate should be capable of structuring and executing tasks efficiently and effectively. Additionally, very good English and French language skills are mandatory, and a passion for M&E, communication, and international collaboration is expected.

Educational Background:
The ideal candidate should be currently enrolled in a relevant academic program, such as International Development Studies, and must have completed their foundational studies. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of M&E and communication within the context of international development.

Experience:
While specific prior experience is not mandatory, familiarity with M&E and communication tasks is beneficial. The candidate should demonstrate a strong ability to work in a team and possess a proactive approach to learning and contributing to the organization’s goals.
