Duties and Responsibilities: The intern's daily responsibilities will vary based on their background and may include: assisting in the design and implementation of OCHA People Strategy activities related to organizational culture, staff engagement, diversity and inclusion, and duty of care; conducting descriptive, exploratory, and predictive people analytics on specific issues as requested; tracking, monitoring, and reporting on People Strategy activities; supporting the implementation of OCHA Pulse Check, including analysis and communication of results; preparing for meetings by creating agendas, background documents, meeting notes, and talking points; assisting with People Strategy communication efforts, including maintaining the intranet presence and contributing to the quarterly newsletter; responding to various inquiries and information requests related to the work of the section; and performing additional tasks as requested by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must be students in their final year of a bachelor's degree, master's degree, or Ph.D. program, or have completed such programs. No prior work experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme. However, candidates should possess skills and knowledge that would benefit the United Nations during their internship. Excellent writing skills, proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the ability to analyze and present findings in infographic formats are essential qualifications for this role.
Educational Background: Candidates must be enrolled in or have completed a university degree program at the bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. level.
