Job Overview: The Project Coordinator for Emergency Response will play a crucial role in overseeing the Ayeyarwady emergency response initiatives. This position entails ensuring effective coordination and monitoring of quality implementation, management, and reporting of various activities related to emergency response. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Project Coordinator include but are not limited to:
Adhering to NRC policies, guidance, and procedures in all aspects of project management.
Contributing to the development of country and area strategies, including initiating and participating in the development of relevant Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) and emergency response project proposals.
Coordinating and managing the implementation of emergency response projects, ensuring activities are conducted in line with proposals, strategies, and donor requirements.
Implementing technical direction and ensuring high technical quality of projects.
Providing regular monthly progress reports on project activities and outcomes.
Supporting the development and management of project budgets and coordinating across Core Competencies.
Ensuring capacity building of project staff and implementation partners, transferring key skills necessary for effective project execution.
Liaising and collaborating with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders to promote the rights of IDPs and returnees in line with NRC’s advocacy strategy.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior-level project implementation or coordination position within a humanitarian context. They should have working proficiency in multi-sectoral emergency response areas, including cash, shelter, protection, food, non-food items (NFIs), and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). Previous experience in complex and volatile contexts is essential, along with a very good command of oral and written English. Candidates should demonstrate experience in capacity building and possess strong partnership communication skills. Additionally, they should have documented results related to the responsibilities of the position and knowledge of their own leadership skills and profile.
