Job Overview: The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position is situated within the Development and Communication department, which consists of 19 members. The intern will report directly to the Events and Regional Delegations Officer and will provide support in organizing events from the headquarters and occasionally in regional delegations. The communication service organizes events at the headquarters and oversees regional delegations, which are teams composed solely of volunteers based in various regions. These teams conduct communication and awareness-raising actions to promote the NGO and its causes to a broad audience. Currently, three regional delegations are active: Brittany, Pays de la Loire, and Île-de-France. The intern will actively participate in the conception, execution, and evaluation phases of various events organized by the association, including conferences, round tables, documentary screenings, photo exhibitions, humanitarian talks, and other events related to the annual thematic campaign, such as World Water Day and the New Year's Eve event.
Duties and Responsibilities: The intern's responsibilities will include supporting the organization of events at the headquarters, assisting in the development and animation of volunteer delegations in the regions, creating tools for volunteer recruitment and integration, developing communication materials for the delegations, identifying new events for deploying the Water Bar in Île-de-France, Pays de Loire, and Brittany, supporting the organization and participation in regional events such as summer festivals, identifying new schools for conducting water workshops for children, assisting in the evolution of the adult version of the Water Game, recruiting new volunteers for events and awareness actions, and identifying new visibility channels for local delegation events. The intern will also assist in the creation of visibility tools, including prospecting new visibility tools, managing orders and deliveries, and overseeing stock management and replenishments. Additionally, the intern will participate in internal communication efforts, including collecting and disseminating information and contributing to service meetings and reflections.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should possess a higher education background (minimum Bac +3) preferably in communication, event management, or project management. A genuine interest and motivation for the non-profit and humanitarian sector are essential. Ideally, candidates should have prior professional experience in communication, excellent writing skills, creativity, rigor, organization, and autonomy. Proficiency in computer software is required, including good knowledge of desktop publishing (Adobe CC, particularly InDesign and Photoshop), Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), internet and social media, and email (Outlook).
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a higher education degree, preferably at least Bac +3 level, focused on communication, event management, or project management. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of communication strategies and event organization within a humanitarian context.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have ideally some prior professional experience in communication, which could include internships or volunteer work in related fields. This experience will help the intern to better understand the dynamics of communication within an NGO and the specific challenges faced in the humanitarian sector.
Languages: Fluency in French is mandatory for this position, given the nature of the work and the target audience. Proficiency in English is also beneficial, as it may be necessary for communication with international partners and stakeholders. Additional languages could be an asset but are not explicitly required.
Additional Notes: The internship is based at the headquarters of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL in Clichy (92), accessible via the Mairie de Clichy metro station. The internship requires a formal internship agreement. The compensation for the internship is €4.90 per hour, calculated based on actual hours worked each month (approximately 154 hours per month, equating to 22 days of 7 hours each). Public transport costs will be reimbursed at 50% by SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL, and interns will receive meal vouchers worth €8.90 per day worked, with SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL contributing 60%. Travel to regional events may be required.
