Job Overview: The OECD Centre for Skills (SKC) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated candidate to provide essential administrative support for organizing meetings and events, preparing documents, and handling various general assistant duties. The selected candidate will report to the heads of the Skills Analysis and Vocational Education and Training teams. The role may be part-time (50-80% FTE) or full-time, depending on the candidate's preferences. The position involves a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the Centre for Skills, contributing to the development of skills policies, and supporting the acquisition and use of skills by individuals to improve their employability and social outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities: The main responsibilities of the Assistant include organizing missions for team members, which involves travel arrangements, visa applications, and processing expense claims. The candidate will also prepare intellectual service contracts and maintain up-to-date contact lists. They will establish and maintain excellent relations with colleagues and external contacts, introduce new staff to corporate tools, and support the Centre for Skills in various tasks. Additionally, the Assistant will assist in preparing documents, reports, and publications in accordance with OECD standards, liaise with services for translations, and oversee the organization of meetings and events, ensuring smooth communication and logistical arrangements.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate should possess a secondary level of education, preferably in office management, administrative, or language studies. They should have administrative and organizational experience in an international environment, including document preparation and event organization. Experience in project coordination is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn various software packages used by the OECD is essential. Candidates should demonstrate core competencies such as vision and strategy, enabling people, ethics and integrity, collaboration, achieving results, and innovation.
Educational Background: Candidates are expected to have at least a secondary level of education, with a preference for those who have pursued studies in office management, administration, or languages. This educational background will provide the necessary skills for effective communication and organizational tasks required in the role.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have administrative and organizational experience, particularly in an international context. This includes experience in preparing documents and publications, organizing meetings and events (both in-person and online), and managing travel arrangements. Experience in project coordination is considered an asset, as it demonstrates the ability to handle multiple tasks and work collaboratively within a team.
Languages: Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages, English or French, is mandatory, along with knowledge of the other language and a commitment to achieving a good working level. The full-time monthly salary for temporary staff starts at 2,660€, which may be subject to French income tax based on the candidate's situation.
