Job Overview: The logistics-manager" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Logistics Manager is tasked with overseeing the supply chain and operations management at the Dnipro base. This includes managing fleet operations, premises, energy resources, and ensuring adherence to Solidarités International procedures. The Logistics Manager will provide advice and support to the program department and the Field Coordinator to ensure smooth program implementation. Additionally, the role involves managing the logistics budget and ensuring efficient use of resources, assets, and equipment. The position also includes capacity building within the logistics department and fostering interaction with the base and the coordination office in Kyiv. The role is critical in addressing the challenges posed by new processes that need to be implemented and scaled up in 2025, particularly in terms of procurement volume and technical requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the supply chain and logistics operations at the Dnipro base, ensuring compliance with SI procedures.
Advise and support the program department and Field Coordinator in program implementation.
Manage the logistics budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and usage.
Facilitate the capacity building of the logistics department and enhance collaboration with the base and coordination office.
Implement new processes such as calls for tender, framework contracts, and supplier pre-qualification.
Train the logistics team and program department on new procedures.
Rationalize logistics costs related to fleet, premises, and storage.
Monitor security constraints and adapt operations accordingly, especially in response to missile strikes in Dnipro.
A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector.
0-2 years of experience in a similar position.
Strong technical skills in procurement management, fleet and premises management, and budget management.
Transversal skills including rigor, pedagogy, adaptability, and team management.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant fields such as supply chain management, business or public administration, or humanitarian studies. This educational background is essential to understand the complexities of logistics management in humanitarian contexts.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with 0-2 years specifically in a logistics management role. This experience is crucial for understanding the operational challenges and requirements of the position.
Languages: Fluency in English at a minimum B2 level is mandatory. Knowledge of Ukrainian and/or Russian is considered a plus, enhancing communication within the local context and with beneficiaries.

The role is based in Dnipro, Ukraine, and involves working under security constraints due to the ongoing conflict. The salary starts from EUR 2310 gross per month, which includes a base salary and an annual leave allowance. Additionally, a monthly Per Diem of USD 700 is provided, along with accommodation costs and travel expenses covered by SI. The organization implements a system of breaks during the assignment, allowing for time off every three months, along with an additional rest day for each month worked. Expatriates are also provided with a comprehensive insurance package covering healthcare expenses and essential vaccinations.
