Job Overview: The Support Manager will play a crucial role in implementing and supervising all Finance, Human Resources, and logistics-operations" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Logistics operations at the assigned base in Gaza. This position involves organizing logistic support for programs in accordance with Solidarités International procedures and assisting the base manager or field coordinator in implementing safety rules. The Support Manager is responsible for the administrative, accounting, and financial management of the base, ensuring compliance with donor and SI procedures. This role requires a strong ability to work under high-stress conditions and manage a team effectively in a challenging environment, particularly given the ongoing conflict in the region. The Support Manager will also be tasked with strengthening the logistics department and empowering team members to enhance operational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Support Manager's duties include:
Implementing and supervising finance, HR, and logistics operations at the base.
Organizing logistic support for programs in line with SI procedures.
Assisting the base manager in implementing safety protocols.
Managing administrative, accounting, and financial operations, ensuring compliance with donor and SI procedures.
Supervising accounting operations and cash management, including budget follow-up with program managers.
Ensuring proper implementation of SI's Human Resources policy at the base.
Managing and training the administrative and logistics team members.
Strengthening and structuring the logistics department, including capacity building for logistics staff.
Maintaining high-quality administrative processes and services for the team. 1

Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a background in Finance, Human Resources, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Management. A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector is required, with prior experience in a similar position considered an asset. Technical skills required include at least 2 years of relevant experience in finance, HR, or logistics management in emergency or development contexts at an international level. Candidates should have a good command of logistics, finance, and HR procedures, as well as proven abilities in developing and implementing logistics systems. Problem-solving and analytical skills are essential, along with knowledge of SI's rules and procedures. Experience in protracted crisis contexts and proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, are also necessary.
Educational Background: A relevant educational background in Finance, Human Resources, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Management is essential for this position. Candidates should have formal qualifications that align with the responsibilities of the Support Manager role, ensuring they possess the necessary theoretical knowledge to complement their practical experience.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with a strong emphasis on finance, HR, and logistics management. Additional Notes: The position is a short-term contract, and the living conditions in Gaza are described as very harsh due to ongoing conflict and significant disruptions to basic services. The Support Manager will be based in Deir-el-Balah, where SI has its office and guesthouse. The salary for this position starts from EUR 2310 gross per month, which includes a base salary and an annual leave allowance. Additionally, a monthly Per Diem of USD 750 is provided. SI covers accommodation costs and travel expenses for expatriates. The organization implements a system of alternating work and time off, with breaks every two months and additional rest days granted for each month worked. An insurance package is also provided, covering healthcare expenses and essential vaccinations.
