The organization is committed to creating a better life for all and meaningful tasks for its employees, making it a successful model in international cooperation.

Job Overview:
The position of Praktikant*in in the sector project for social and ecological transformation of textile supply chains (SV SETTS) involves supporting the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in improving working and living conditions in production countries, promoting gender equality, and minimizing environmental impacts, particularly in the textile sector. The intern will play a crucial role in both internal and external communication efforts, assisting in the overarching communication strategy of the project and managing communication across various channels. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of international cooperation, particularly in sustainable textiles and corporate responsibility.

Duties and Responsibilities:
As an intern, your primary responsibilities will include supporting internal and external communication for the SV SETTS project. You will assist in managing social media channels (Instagram, LinkedIn) for the Green Button initiative and the Textile Alliance, focusing on community management, content management, and monitoring. Additionally, you will maintain and update websites for these initiatives using a content management system. Your role will also involve planning, preparing, and executing events, webinars, workshops, and participation in trade fairs and conferences. You will help create various communication formats such as newsletters, website content, flyers, guidelines, presentations, and annual reports. You will gain insights into collaboration with clients and service providers, as well as assist in knowledge and office management within the project.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should be studying economics, communications, political science, or humanities (or a related field). Previous internships in Germany or abroad (e.g., with ministries, private sector, or international organizations) are highly desirable, as they provide initial professional experience that the candidate wishes to deepen in the context of international cooperation. A political sensitivity and a good understanding of development policy contexts and the goals of German development cooperation are essential. Ideally, candidates should have some knowledge of sustainable textiles, sustainable consumption promotion, corporate responsibility in the textile sector, and current discussions on human rights due diligence and relevant textile labels.

Educational Background:
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a degree program, participating in a training program that requires an internship, or have graduated no more than six months prior to the start of the internship. This ensures that the internship is a relevant part of their educational journey.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have some initial professional experience, particularly through internships, in areas related to communication, event planning, and project management. Experience in social media management and content management systems is also beneficial, as is familiarity with the planning and execution of events, webinars, and workshops.

Languages:
Fluency in both German and English is mandatory, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not required.

Additional Notes:
The internship is full-time and is scheduled from May 12, 2025, to October 31, 202
  • The monthly stipend for interns is €2,205.04 (gross).
