Job Overview: The position of Consultant[e] national[e] is focused on providing training related to inclusive, responsible, and sustainable enterprises. The consultant will be expected to deliver high-quality training sessions that enhance the capacity of participants in understanding and implementing sustainable business practices. This role requires a deep understanding of the principles of sustainable development and the ability to convey this knowledge effectively to diverse audiences. The consultant will work closely with UNDP to ensure that the training aligns with the organization's goals and objectives, and contributes to the broader mission of promoting sustainable development in Tunisia. The consultant will be engaged for a total of 17 days over a period of 5 months, allowing for flexibility in scheduling the training sessions to accommodate the needs of participants and the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
Develop training materials and curricula that are tailored to the needs of the participants and the objectives of the training program.
Conduct training sessions that are interactive and engaging, ensuring that participants are actively involved in the learning process.
Assess the training needs of the participants and adapt the training content accordingly.
Provide follow-up support and resources to participants after the training sessions to reinforce learning and application of concepts.
Collaborate with UNDP staff to ensure that the training aligns with organizational goals and strategies.
Evaluate the effectiveness of the training sessions and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Prepare and submit reports on training activities, participant feedback, and recommendations for future training initiatives.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:
Proven experience in delivering training on sustainable business practices or related topics.
Strong understanding of inclusive and responsible business models.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
Familiarity with UNDP's mission and objectives, particularly in the context of sustainable development.
Educational Background: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, sustainable development, environmental science, or a related discipline is required. A master's degree or equivalent qualification would be an advantage, particularly in areas related to sustainable business practices or corporate social responsibility.
Experience: Candidates should have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in training, capacity building, or consultancy in the field of sustainable development or business practices. Experience working with international organizations, particularly within the UN system, is highly desirable. Proven track record of successfully delivering training programs and workshops is essential.
Languages: Fluency in both written and spoken French and English is mandatory, as the training materials and sessions will be conducted in these languages. Knowledge of Arabic would be considered an asset, as it may facilitate communication with local participants and stakeholders.
Additional Notes: This position is for a fixed-term consultancy contract lasting for 5 months, with a total of 17 days of engagement. The consultant will be expected to work flexibly, scheduling training sessions based on the availability of participants and organizational needs. The position is open to national candidates only, and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
