Job Overview: The Childcare Provider position is integral to the Resettlement programs aimed at assisting vulnerable Afghan families and individuals in their transition to countries such as the UK, Germany, and Italy. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and caring for children during Parent Development Orientation (PDO) classes, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. This role requires flexibility and punctuality, as the schedule may vary. The Childcare Provider will engage children in activities that promote cooperation and teamwork, while also familiarizing them with migration concepts and information about their destination countries. The position emphasizes the importance of creating a positive atmosphere for children and maintaining cleanliness in the childcare area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise and care for children during PDO classes, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Provide basic PDO teaching tailored to the children's needs.
Organize and facilitate engaging activities, such as crafts, to foster teamwork and cooperation among children.
Maintain a clean and safe childcare environment, free from hazards and trash.
Record daily attendance of children and prepare weekly reports for the Team Leader.
Communicate any social or health-related concerns regarding children to the Team Leader.
Prepare necessary materials and provide a list of requirements for children's classes.
Be open to learning new skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
Perform any additional duties as required by the Team Leader.
Required Qualifications:
Completed High School Diploma.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in child-minding, with experience in a kindergarten setting considered an asset.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment for children.
Educational Background: The position requires a completed High School Diploma as a minimum educational qualification. This foundational education is essential for understanding basic childcare principles and practices.
Experience: Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience in child-minding. Experience working in a kindergarten or similar educational setting is highly desirable, as it demonstrates the ability to engage with young children in a structured environment.
Languages: Fluency in Pashto and/or Dari is required, both oral and written. Additionally, a working knowledge of English or other languages spoken in Northern Sindh is considered an advantage, enhancing communication with a broader range of families.
