Job Overview:
The position is an internship within the International Power-to-X Hub, focusing on the development of sustainable, synthetic fuels and raw materials based on renewable energies. The intern will support the coordination of various Power-to-X activities in partner countries, particularly in the area of green shipping. The role involves responding to inquiries from ministries regarding energy and transport policies, conducting independent research and analysis on international political, technical, and regulatory frameworks, and regional potentials for hydrogen production and synthetic fuels. The intern will also assist in maintaining databases related to Power-to-X business cases globally, support the design and implementation of technical training, and contribute to the creation of presentations, flyers, and knowledge products related to sustainability in the shipping sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will perform a variety of tasks including: assisting consultants in coordinating Power-to-X activities in partner countries with a focus on green shipping; responding to current inquiries from ministries regarding energy and transport policies; conducting independent research and analysis on international political, technical, and regulatory frameworks; maintaining databases related to Power-to-X business cases; supporting the design and implementation of technical training; creating presentations, flyers, and knowledge products on sustainability; and actively contributing to the successful execution of internal and external workshops and events.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a university degree in fields such as energy, transport, international relations, environment, economics, or other relevant areas, ideally at the master's level. A fundamental understanding and interest in green hydrogen and Power-to-X, particularly in the shipping sector, is essential. Candidates should also have strong written communication skills, analytical thinking abilities, and a structured working style. Previous professional experience through internships or similar roles is preferred. Fluency in German and English is required, while good knowledge of French or Spanish is advantageous. Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams, is also necessary, along with good self-organization skills, resilience, and flexibility.

Educational Background:
A university degree in relevant fields such as energy, transport, international relations, environment, or economics is required. Ideally, candidates should be pursuing a master's degree or have recently completed their studies within the last six months.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have some initial professional experience, preferably through internships or similar roles, to ensure they are familiar with the working environment and expectations of the role.

Languages:
Fluency in both German and English is mandatory, with good knowledge of French or Spanish considered a plus.

The internship is full-time and is only available to candidates who are currently enrolled in a study program that requires an internship or who have graduated no more than six months prior to the start of the internship. The internship period is from May 5, 2025, to November 4, 202
