Job Overview:
The Security Officer position within the OECD's Executive Directorate (EXD) is crucial for ensuring the safety and security of the organization's personnel and property. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing security operations, managing technical systems at the Site Command Centre, and responding to security incidents. This role requires a high level of availability, as it involves working in shifts that cover days, nights, weekends, and public holidays. The Security Officer will also be tasked with protecting VIPs and implementing security measures for specific events, making it essential for candidates to be fit and suitable to carry a firearm in a professional environment. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Security Officer will oversee and coordinate operational security staff, manage technical systems at the Site Command Centre, and respond to security alarms and incidents. Key responsibilities include analyzing requests that may impact operational security, supervising subcontracted fire safety officers, triggering crisis procedures during serious incidents, and performing administrative tasks such as monitoring statistics and drafting reports. The officer will also carry out patrols, manage access control points, and ensure the safety of high-level visitors during sensitive events. Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a post-secondary qualification, such as a university degree or advanced vocational diploma, and hold a Category 'B' driving license. A minimum of eight years of experience in security, whether in the private or public sector, is required. This includes experience in carrying a service weapon and managing high-stress situations. Candidates should have training in tactical marksmanship and security response techniques, along with proven experience in emergency management and decision-making under pressure. Proficiency in IT tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook is also necessary.

Educational Background:

Additionally, they must complete initial internal situational shooting training within one year of employment and obtain a permit to carry a weapon from the French authorities. The monthly salary starts at 4,422 EUR, with allowances based on eligibility, and is exempt from French income tax. The selection process may include a video-recorded interview, job-based assessments, and panel interviews.
