Job Overview: The RBM Associate position is integral to the Results-Based Management (RBM) function within UNDP Egypt. This role supports the planning, monitoring, and evaluation of all UNDP Egypt programs and projects, ensuring they align with the organization's standards and methodologies. The RBM Associate will assist the RBM Team Lead in maintaining the quality of evaluations, managing the evaluation database, and facilitating knowledge sharing among program staff. The position requires a proactive approach to corporate reporting and quality assurance, contributing to the overall effectiveness of program resource and financial management. The incumbent will work closely with various program teams to compile inputs for annual reports and monitor project indicators, ensuring that all activities are effectively implemented and aligned with UNDP's strategic goals.
Duties and Responsibilities: The RBM Associate will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including:
Supporting the implementation of evaluation corporate requirements by maintaining the evaluation database and assisting in the recruitment of evaluation consultants.
Organizing logistics for training events on results-based management for program and project staff, and compiling lessons learned and best practices.
Compiling inputs from different program teams for the results-oriented annual report (ROAR) and maintaining the office program registry of project progress reports.
Identifying missing information from the Transparency Dashboard and coordinating with program teams to update project-related data.
Monitoring project closure dashboards and assisting program associates in closing projects operationally and financially.
Assisting program teams in setting annual financial delivery targets and following up on resource and budget implementation.
Performing other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the office and organization.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess secondary education as a minimum requirement. A university degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Statistics, Economics, Political Science, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. The role requires a proven track record of excellent drafting, formulation, and reporting skills, with demonstrated experience in producing and editing documents accurately and professionally. Proficiency in using computers and office software packages, such as MS Word and Excel, is essential. Additionally, candidates should have a strong understanding of results-based management principles and practices, as well as resource management and monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes at least secondary education. A university degree in relevant fields such as Public Policy, Public Administration, Statistics, Economics, or Political Science will be considered an advantage, although it is not a strict requirement. The emphasis is on the candidate's ability to demonstrate relevant skills and experience in administration or management roles.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in administration or management at the national and/or international level for candidates with secondary education. For those with a university degree, a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required. Experience in program/project management support, monitoring and evaluation, and financial management is highly desirable.
