Job Overview:
The Cloud Services Analyst position is situated within the UNDP Office of Information Technology and Management (ITM), which serves as the primary provider of high-quality ICT systems and Green Energy services to a global network of over 155 country offices and partners. The mission of the ITM Smart Infrastructure Services (SIS) is to create smart facilities, build local capacity, and inspire movement, ensuring efficient, innovative, and sustainable management of technologies in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Cloud Services Analyst will provide technical support for Cloud-based services across UNDP offices and business units globally, adhering to UNDP's standard operating procedures for IT service delivery. This role is crucial for maintaining organizational productivity through technology, optimizing financial efficiency, and showcasing development at the local level.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Cloud Services Analyst will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the performance and compliance of UNDP's Cloud platforms. Key duties include attending to incidents and service catalog requests, periodically reviewing and updating internal records related to the Cloud platform, and supporting the implementation of oversight controls. The analyst will monitor and troubleshoot oversight controls, assist with remediation actions for non-compliance, and manage Cloud platform costs by updating technical controls and escalating budget exceptions. Additionally, the analyst will monitor service health, notify users about health events, and support audits and assessments of Cloud services. Reporting on compliance status, facilitating training and communications with stakeholders, and documenting best practices will also be part of the role. The incumbent may perform other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the office and organization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master’s Degree or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the stated areas, combined with an additional two years of qualifying experience, will be considered in lieu of the advanced degree. Required skills include training or experience in Public Cloud Infrastructure Operations (GCP, AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud). Desired skills include knowledge of computer network and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security technologies, experience with modern web application technologies, automation tools, scripting languages, and understanding of cyber security principles as they apply to public cloud infrastructure. Candidates should also demonstrate project management skills, the ability to multi-task, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree (Master’s Degree or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Candidates with a first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the relevant fields, along with two years of qualifying experience, will also be considered. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the complexities of Cloud Infrastructure Operations and the technologies involved.

Experience:
The level of experience required for this position varies based on educational qualifications. Applicants with a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field are not required to have professional work experience. However, those with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) must have a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in Public Cloud Infrastructure Operations. This experience should encompass practical knowledge and skills in managing and supporting cloud services and technologies.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within UNDP. Additionally, a working knowledge of other UN languages is desirable, which can enhance collaboration and communication in a diverse international environment.
