Job Overview: The position involves the creative design and layout development of the 2024 UN Country Results Report for Bahrain (UNCRR) in both English and Arabic. The consultant will be responsible for producing a visually appealing and easily understandable document that effectively communicates the results and achievements of the UN's work in Bahrain. The report must be designed for both web and print formats, ensuring accessibility and clarity for a broad audience. The consultant will work closely with the Director of UNIC Manama and the Bahrain RCO to ensure that the design aligns with the organization's communication standards and effectively incorporates the provided content. The role requires a strong understanding of graphic design principles and the ability to create engaging infographics and visual elements that enhance the report's readability and impact.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop a final design template for the 2024 UN Country Results Report for Bahrain, including layout and graphic design mockups for both English and Arabic versions.
Create the designed English version of the report based on the approved template and content provided by the Bahrain RCO.
Ensure proper alignment of design elements and make necessary adjustments to finalize the English version in both PDF and editable formats.
Collaborate with the Bahrain RCO to update graphical elements with Arabic translations, ensuring alignment and coherence in design for the Arabic version.
Finalize the designed Arabic version of the report, ensuring it meets the same standards as the English version, and provide it in both PDF and editable formats.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in design, visual communications, or a related field. A minimum of three years of relevant experience in graphic design or visual communications is required, with a strong preference for candidates who have previously designed similar reports. Experience working with NGOs, particularly the UN, and an understanding of their communication requirements is highly desirable. Candidates must submit proof of their educational qualifications, as incomplete applications will not be considered.
Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in design, visual communications, or a related field is mandatory for this position. This educational background ensures that the candidate has the foundational knowledge and skills necessary for effective graphic design and layout development, which are critical for producing high-quality reports that meet the UN's standards.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of three years of professional experience in graphic design or visual communications.
