The position of Editor for the 2024 Annual Results Report involves delivering a polished and final edited version of the report for the United Nations in Papua New Guinea. The editor will be responsible for deep editing the original draft, enhancing the narrative presentation, and incorporating feedback from various stakeholders. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Editor will undertake several key responsibilities, including: (a) Deep editing the original draft of the Annual Results Report using track changes to correct grammar and vocabulary, ensuring clarity and readability for a broad audience. (b) Offering suggestions for improving the narrative presentation, which may include the use of infographics to visually represent data and findings. (c) Conducting a thorough review of the second draft, taking into account feedback from the Editor and other stakeholders to refine the document further. The editor must ensure that the final report meets the standards expected by the UN and effectively communicates the results of the organization's work in Papua New Guinea.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a first degree in Communications, Languages, or the Social Sciences. Additionally, applicants should have at least five years of relevant experience in a similar editorial role. Experience working with the United Nations Development System on similar outputs is considered an advantage, as it demonstrates familiarity with the organization's standards and expectations.
Educational Background:
A first degree in Communications, Languages, or the Social Sciences is required for this position. Experience:
