Job Overview:
The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in the implementation of the project "Reduce Gender-based Violence and harmful practices through Gender Responsive Governance," funded by AICS. This position requires ensuring timely and quality execution of project activities, effective work planning, and engagement with relevant technical expertise and stakeholders. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on project progress, ensuring that all activities align with the project document and workplan. This role demands a proactive approach to communication and coordination with national authorities, municipalities, civil society organizations, and other key stakeholders involved in gender equality and gender-based violence initiatives. The Project Coordinator will also support the management of financial resources in accordance with UNFPA regulations and contribute to the development of technical documents necessary for project implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Coordinator's duties include ensuring timely and adequate implementation of project activities, designing and overseeing the coordination of relevant activities with implementing partners and municipalities, maintaining communication with national authorities and stakeholders, monitoring the proper use of funds, providing support to partners for improved reporting, and contributing to overall project reporting. The Coordinator will regularly review planned activities, make necessary adjustments, manage project files, and support information dissemination. Additionally, the role involves building partnerships at the country level and providing programmatic and technical support to UNFPA in Albania as needed. The Coordinator will also contribute to bi-annual and annual reporting for UNFPA.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a completed university degree in demography, sociology, social work, gender equality, psychology, public policies, or a related discipline. They should have at least 7 years of progressive experience in coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating projects, particularly in gender equality, social development, or public policy. A sound understanding of gender mainstreaming, social inclusion, and gender-responsive budgeting is essential. Proven experience in reporting and communicating results, as well as developing program and project planning documents, is required. Experience in building partnerships with governments, donors, and civil society organizations is also necessary, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with ERP systems.

Educational Background:
A completed university degree in a relevant field such as demography, sociology, social work, gender equality, psychology, or public policies is desirable for this position. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for understanding the complexities of gender issues and social development, which are critical to the role of Project Coordinator.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in project coordination and implementation, with a focus on gender equality and social development. This experience should include monitoring and evaluating projects, as well as working with various stakeholders, including government entities, civil society organizations, and international organizations. Familiarity with UN procedures and working methods is considered an asset, as is experience in using computerized applications for project management.

Languages:
Fluency in both written and spoken English and Albanian is required for this position. Proficiency in these languages is essential for effective communication with stakeholders, reporting, and documentation. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not mandatory.
