Job Overview: The position of Praktikant*in für Kommunikation und Veranstaltungsmanagement im Themenfeld Circular Economy is designed for individuals who are passionate about feminist development policy and the socio-ecological transformation of the economy. The intern will support the Circular City Labs project, which aims to develop urban circular economy approaches in selected partner countries, focusing on waste avoidance and the establishment of reusable systems. The role involves communication, event management, and feminist development policy, providing a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in these areas while contributing to impactful projects.
Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will assist in various tasks related to the Circular City Labs project, including: providing technical support in the area of reusable systems in cities and feminist development cooperation; conducting research on current trends and developments in international waste and circular economy; supporting project communication efforts, including the creation of videos and brochures; assisting in project monitoring; facilitating communication between partner cities and countries; preparing, executing, and documenting the project's final event; and supporting the project team in daily operations.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should have a strong interest in feminist development policy and the socio-ecological transformation of the economy. They must demonstrate a willingness to learn and possess excellent communication skills. Additionally, candidates should be enrolled in a bachelor's program (at least 4th semester) or a master's program in relevant fields such as communication sciences, political sciences, environmental sciences, economics, or social sciences/gender studies. Experience in communication (video conception and design, text editing, online communication, social media management) and event management (both online and in-person events) is essential.
Educational Background: The ideal candidate should be pursuing a bachelor's degree (at least in the 4th semester) or a master's degree in fields related to communication sciences, political sciences, environmental sciences, economics, or social sciences/gender studies. This educational background will provide the necessary theoretical foundation to effectively contribute to the project and its objectives.
Experience: Candidates should have some practical experience in communication and event management. This could include experience in video production, text editing, online communication strategies, and managing both online and in-person events. A demonstrated interest in circular economy and feminist development policy is also required, along with the ability to convey complex information clearly and engagingly.
Languages: Fluency in both German and English is mandatory, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages. Additional language skills, particularly in Spanish, are considered advantageous and will enhance the candidate's profile.

The monthly stipend for interns is €2,205.04 (gross). Candidates must be currently enrolled in a study program that requires an internship or have graduated no more than six months prior to the start of the internship.
