Job Overview: The intern will be part of the Africa-EU Energy Partnership (AEEP), which serves as a strategic dialogue framework between Africa and the EU. The primary goal of the AEEP is to enhance access to secure, affordable, and sustainable energy across both continents, with a particular emphasis on boosting investment in energy infrastructure in Africa. The intern will be based in Bonn and will work within a dynamic, politically charged environment alongside international staff from Africa and Europe. The intern will play a crucial role in ensuring effective communication and information sharing between African and European stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities: As the Communications and Events Management Intern, the intern's responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks. These include providing support to the AEEP Secretariat team in organizing and managing the bi-continental AEEP Forum and other high-level events. This involves venue booking, coordinating with speakers, arranging travel logistics, and managing other event-related logistics. The intern will also assist in organizing the AEEP Energy Talks and smaller online or in-person events, which includes drafting agendas, preparing speaker invitations, managing participant lists, and documenting event outcomes.
