Job Overview:
The position is part of Ashoka's Global Leadership Team, focusing on leading the change for prioritizing changemaking skills in South Asia. The role requires an exceptional changemaker who is an entrepreneur or intrapreneur with a proven commitment to innovation and significant change. The candidate should possess a strategic mindset, strong conceptual thinking skills, and the ability to empathize and collaborate with other leaders. The position is designed for someone who can leverage Ashoka's extensive global network to drive societal change and influence key actors such as parents, schools, and governments to recognize the importance of changemaking skills for children.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead initiatives to promote changemaking skills in South Asia, influencing parents, schools, and governments.
  • Collaborate with Ashoka Fellows and other leaders to create urgency and demand for changemaking skills in society.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to drive the narrative around the importance of changemaking skills.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of initiatives aimed at promoting changemaking skills, adjusting strategies as necessary.
  • Engage with media platforms to raise awareness and generate discussions around changemaking skills for children.
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the organization and among partners to continuously improve approaches to teaching changemaking skills.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 15 years of work experience in leadership roles, preferably in social entrepreneurship or related fields.
  • Proven track record of driving significant change and innovation.
  • Strong strategic thinking and conceptual skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and empathy skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and inspire others to prioritize changemaking skills.

Educational Background:
A relevant educational background in social sciences, education, business administration, or a related field is preferred. Advanced degrees such as a Master's or PhD would be advantageous but not mandatory.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 15 years of professional experience, with a strong emphasis on leadership roles that demonstrate a commitment to social change and innovation. Experience in working with educational institutions, government bodies, or media organizations would be beneficial.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in local languages spoken in South Asia would be an advantage but is not required.
