Job Overview: The position is located within the MEAL/IM unit of the Innovation, Impact, Information (3I) Directorate and involves strong interaction with geographical and technical departments, as well as the information systems department. Under the supervision of the MEAL/IM Manager, you will be part of a team of six people responsible for facilitating the collection and utilization of operational data from the field. You will assist program teams in deploying mobile data collection tools, data visualization (dashboards, mapping, etc.), and produce cross-sectional analyses at a more global level. As a member of the 3i Directorate, you will represent the directorate's diverse expertise and refer to specialists when necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Produce the frameworks and tools necessary for data management on programs and disseminate them: Capitalization of best practices, production and updates of frameworks and toolkits, production of training materials such as guides and remote training, dissemination and promotion of frameworks and tools, and monitoring the deployment of standards related to data management.
Respond to requests and propose analyses and visualizations of data for various entities responsible for implementing the social mission: Create dashboards on Power BI, ensure updates and evolution of existing dashboards, automate updates, maintain and evolve these dashboards, disseminate and ensure user adoption of the work, identify and propose relevant analyses responding to needs related to the social mission, and identify relevant secondary data sources for analysis.
Provide support to MEAL and IM teams on data collection, visualization, and analysis: Administer HI's SurveyCTO server, support the deployment of SurveyCTO and/or Power BI in the field, produce necessary resources for recurring program needs on data visualization and analysis, provide expert-level support on Power BI and/or SurveyCTO, and lead the community of practice for IM managers.
Support MEAL managers as a focal point for a specific geographical area: Be a member of the MEAL/IM focal point team, providing first-level support across the MEAL and IM scope for a designated geographical area, with 1 to 2 support missions per year.
Participate in the organization of the MEAL/IM unit and the broader 3I Directorate: Contribute to the development and monitoring of the directorate's action plan, participate in discussions on improving IM practices led by other specialists, support the organization and availability of internal and external IM resources, and promote synergy with other 3I units and other directorates regarding information management aspects.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate should have prior experience in an Information Management (IM) role or in Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL), with at least two years spent in an NGO. Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools (such as Power BI) and a solid understanding of database management are essential. The candidate must be an expert in Excel and have a strong grasp of mobile data collection tools. Additionally, the candidate should possess a sense of rigor, organization, and strong analytical skills. Fluency in both French and English, both spoken and written, is mandatory.
