Job Overview: The position of Finanzmanager*in Verwendungsnachweisprüfung involves supporting the International Climate Initiative (IKI) with a project focused on the verification of usage reports. This role includes the examination of up to 449 usage reports and final reports, providing consultancy to national and international organizations such as GIZ, KfW, and both German and foreign grant recipients. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in commercial-legal consulting, particularly in the preparation of usage reports, and ensure quality assurance of commercial-legal evaluations within the IKI VN audit team. The position requires ongoing coordination with clients such as BMWK, BMUV, and AA, as well as conducting on-site inspections at German recipients.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Finanzmanager*in include:
Providing commercial-legal consulting to grant recipients, especially in the preparation of usage reports.
Conducting commercial-legal examinations of usage reports and final reports from climate protection projects.
Preparing audit opinions, memos, and evaluations.
Ensuring quality assurance of commercial-legal audit opinions within the IKI VN audit team.
Continuously coordinating with clients such as BMWK, BMUV, and AA.
Working with the project database and maintaining records.
Conducting on-site inspections at German recipients.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for this position include:
A completed degree from a university or university of applied sciences in social or political sciences, administrative sciences, business administration, economics, law, or a comparable degree.
Several years of relevant work experience in commercial-legal examination of usage reports and proficiency in formulating complex texts.
Relevant experience in conducting professional supervision, including quality assurance, peer review, etc.
Strong teamwork and customer orientation, excellent self-organization, and attention to detail.
Experience with modern IT systems, including databases and MS Office.
Knowledge of federal budget and grant law.
Fluent German and English language skills.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a completed degree from a university or university of applied sciences in relevant fields such as social or political sciences, administrative sciences, business administration, economics, law, or a comparable qualification. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of the role and the legal frameworks involved in financial management and controlling.
