Job Overview: The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position focuses on the Skills4Abroad program, which is designed to support professionals in German development cooperation before and during their assignments abroad. The program offers a variety of digital and analog learning opportunities utilized by over 35 different organizations and up to 2,000 participants annually. Interns will play a crucial role in customer service, communication, and advising participants on registration processes, as well as supporting the development of information management and the representation of learning pathways for participants. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain practical experience in international cooperation and customer service within a dynamic and impactful program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in customer service by providing communication and advice regarding registration for the program.
Support the registration process and booking procedures for participants.
Facilitate dialogue with sending organizations to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
Contribute to the further development of information management systems and the presentation of learning pathways for participants.
Assist in the enhancement of advisory approaches and services related to program registration.
Support the creation and evaluation of statistics to monitor program effectiveness and participant engagement.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must be currently enrolled in a degree program related to social sciences, communication sciences, adult education, educational sciences, digital learning, or comparable fields. Knowledge in the area of international cooperation is essential, ideally with some experience abroad. Experience in customer service, particularly in information management and digital customer consulting, is highly desirable. A strong digital competency is expected, including proficiency in digital communication and collaboration tools, as well as advanced skills in MS 365 and familiarity with chatbots and other customer service support tools. Candidates should demonstrate teamwork, initiative, reliability, communication skills, organizational abilities, and creativity. A high level of diversity competence and experience in gender mainstreaming is also required.
Educational Background: The position requires candidates to be enrolled in a relevant academic program or to be in a training program that includes an internship as an integral part. Alternatively, candidates who have graduated within the last six months are also eligible to apply.
Experience: Candidates should have some experience in customer service roles, ideally with a focus on information management and digital consulting. Experience in international cooperation or related fields will be an advantage, particularly if it includes practical exposure to working in diverse environments.
Languages: Fluent proficiency in German is mandatory, along with very good knowledge of English. Additional language skills may be beneficial but are not required.
Additional Notes: The internship is available for a fixed term from April 1, 2025, to September 30, 2025, and can be offered on either a full-time or part-time basis.
