Job Overview: The position of Praktikant*in in the Stabsstelle Digitale Kommunikation involves supporting the online team of GIZ's corporate communication in Bonn. The intern will play a crucial role in enhancing the digital communication strategies of the organization, particularly through its online presence and social media channels. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to learn about the processes of corporate communication within an internationally active federal organization. The internship will provide hands-on experience in managing online content, engaging with social media, and contributing to various digital communication projects.
Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:
Assisting in the ongoing maintenance of online offerings in coordination with specialized units.
Providing advice to internal clients regarding online media.
Supporting projects aimed at enhancing the organization's internet presence.
Conducting research for website content and editing news releases.
Assisting in social media activities, including topic planning, campaign conception and execution, social media monitoring, and network maintenance.
Performing supportive tasks in the core areas of the online team's responsibilities.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must be enrolled in media or communication studies or a comparable field and have completed their basic studies. They should possess native-level proficiency in German and be familiar with the fundamentals of communication in online media. Strong written communication skills and some editorial experience are essential. Candidates should also have a basic understanding of the technical aspects of online communication and a digital mindset. Proficiency in English is also required, and an interest in learning about corporate communication processes in an international federal organization is important.
Educational Background: The ideal candidate should be currently enrolled in a relevant degree program, such as media or communication studies, and must have completed their foundational studies. The internship is only available to those who are currently registered as students, are in a training program that includes an internship, or have graduated no more than six months prior to the start of the internship.
Experience: While specific prior experience is not mandatory, candidates should have some editorial experience and familiarity with online media communication. A strong interest in political communication and international collaboration is also beneficial, as the role involves working within a team focused on these areas.
Languages: Fluency in German at a native level is mandatory, along with very good English language skills. Familiarity with other languages may be considered an asset but is not required.

The monthly stipend for interns is €2,205.04 (gross).
