Job Overview:
This position involves providing consultancy services aimed at strengthening the capabilities of officials working in Family Commissions. The consultant will focus on enhancing legal argumentation and evidentiary procedures to improve service delivery to citizens. The role requires a deep understanding of family law and the judicial system, particularly in the context of Colombia. The consultant will be expected to develop training materials, conduct workshops, and provide ongoing support to officials to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively. The assignment is set for a duration of three months, during which the consultant will engage with various stakeholders to promote best practices in legal service delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for the following duties:

• Assess the current capabilities of Family Commission officials and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop comprehensive training programs focused on legal argumentation and evidentiary procedures.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions for officials to enhance their understanding of family law and judicial processes.
• Provide ongoing support and mentorship to officials during the implementation of new practices.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including judicial authorities and civil society organizations, to promote effective service delivery.
• Prepare and submit reports on the progress of the consultancy, including recommendations for further improvements.
• Ensure that all activities align with UNDP's mission and objectives in Colombia.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires the following qualifications:

• A professional degree in law, with a valid professional license.
• A specialization or master's degree in pedagogy, university teaching, or procedural law is preferred.
• A minimum of four years of experience as a lecturer in law or political science, or in family law or evidentiary law.
• At least two years of experience related to the Supreme Court of Justice is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts in an understandable manner.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a professional degree in law, which is essential for understanding the legal framework within which Family Commissions operate. Additionally, a specialization or master's degree in pedagogy or procedural law is preferred, as it will enhance the consultant's ability to train and mentor officials effectively. The educational background should reflect a strong foundation in legal principles and teaching methodologies.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of four years of relevant experience, particularly in teaching law or political science. Experience in family law or evidentiary law is crucial, as the consultant will be working directly with Family Commission officials. Furthermore, having at least two years of experience related to the Supreme Court of Justice will provide valuable insights into the judicial processes that the officials must navigate.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as all training and communication will be conducted in this language. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required for this position.

Additional Notes:
This consultancy is for a fixed duration of three months, and it is classified as an individual contractor position. The consultant will be expected to work full-time during this period.
