Job Overview: The Driver position at UNDP Indonesia is crucial for providing reliable and safe transportation services to the Country Office management, operations, and programme staff, as well as consultants and UN officials. The role requires a client-oriented approach, a high sense of responsibility, and the ability to work with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. The Driver will be responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance of the assigned vehicle, adhering to driving regulations, and supporting the operational needs of the office. This position is integral to the smooth functioning of the Country Office, as it facilitates the mobility of personnel and supports various administrative tasks as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide reliable and secure driving services for authorized personnel, including transporting staff, delivering documents, and assisting with airport formalities.
Ensure cost-saving through proper vehicle maintenance, including maintaining accurate vehicle logs, preparing maintenance plans, and performing minor repairs.
Ensure the vehicle is equipped with all necessary documents and supplies, such as insurance, vehicle logs, and a first aid kit.
Take immediate action in case of accidents, following all relevant rules and regulations.
Perform additional duties as assigned, which may include assisting with procurement, workshops, and other administrative tasks.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and have completed secondary education. A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a driver with a safe driving record is required. Knowledge of driving regulations and minor vehicle maintenance is desired. Familiarity with office software and web-based management systems is an asset, as is experience working with international organizations or high-ranking officials.
Educational Background: The educational requirement for this position is secondary education, along with a valid driver's license. Candidates should have a solid understanding of driving regulations and safety protocols.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant driving experience, particularly in a professional setting. Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, as well as fluency in Bahasa, the national language of Indonesia, for local staff.
Additional Notes: The initial appointment is for 12 months, contingent upon successful completion of a probationary period.
