Job Overview: The Digital Fundraising Assistant will work under the direct supervision of the Fundraising Officer (Digital) and will be responsible for the timely follow-up with the digital agency to develop and implement digital campaigns. The incumbent will ensure that UNICEF's programs are executed effectively and that results are achieved. This role requires a thorough understanding of UNICEF's digital fundraising campaigns, procedures, processes, and policies. The assistant will support the monitoring of financial and non-financial agreements related to individual giving, analyze market trends, and identify potential corporate partners. The position also involves assisting in the design of marketing and communication materials for business, ensuring quality planning, monitoring, and evaluation of fundraising campaigns, and providing administrative support to the Individual Giving Section.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the monitoring of financial and non-financial agreements related to individual giving, ensuring alignment with UNICEF's mission and objectives.
Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for corporate partnerships, maintaining contact databases.
Assist in preparing proposals and presentations for potential corporate partners.
Regularly monitor and follow up on existing agreements with corporate partners to ensure targets are met.
Design marketing and communication materials for business initiatives.
Supervise and monitor agencies and fundraisers to ensure timely decision-making and quality results in donor acquisition.
Conduct regular evaluations of fundraising efforts to maximize impact and improve performance.
Coordinate capacity development activities and logistical arrangements for conferences.
Liaise with budget focal points regarding costs and needs. 1
Prepare background materials for meetings and events, including agendas and minutes. 1
Assist in developing and implementing communication strategies for the individual giving section. 1
Liaise with corporate partners' communication departments to implement strategies effectively. 1
Analyze campaign KPIs and investment requirements, providing technical support for establishing criteria. 1
Maintain office filing systems and ensure the accuracy of inter/intra-net websites. 1
Monitor budgets and financial expenditures, ensuring compliance with UNICEF regulations. 1
Facilitate vendor solicitation and logistical arrangements for services. 1
Provide travel assistance to staff members and maintain the office calendar.
Required Qualifications:
Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the work of the organization.
A university first degree (Bachelor’s) in Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising, or Social Communication is highly desirable.
Additional relevant post-graduate courses that complement the main degree would be considered an asset.
A minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in marketing or public relations, including at least 2 years in digital performance areas.
Proven experience with online media tools such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, and LinkedIn Ads, as well as measuring tools like Google Analytics.
Deep understanding of the paid media landscape in Brazil.
Experience working for international organizations or UN/UNICEF is an asset.
Educational Background: The position requires completion of secondary education, with a preference for candidates who have pursued technical or university courses relevant to the organization's work. A Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising, or Social Communication is highly desirable. Additional post-graduate courses that complement the main degree will be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's qualifications for the role.
Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in marketing or public relations, with at least 2 years specifically in digital performance areas or related functions. Experience in digital fundraising is a welcomed plus. A Bachelor's degree from a recognized academic institution in a relevant field may substitute for three years of related work experience, indicating that educational qualifications can offset some experience requirements.
Languages: Fluency in English and Portuguese is required for this position. Knowledge of Spanish is considered an asset, which may enhance communication capabilities within diverse teams and with various stakeholders.
