Job Overview: The Project Coordinator position is a critical role within the Norwegian Refugee Council, specifically designed to oversee and manage project activities in Myanmar. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Project Coordinator include:
Ensuring compliance with NRC policies, tools, guidance, and procedures.
Contributing to the development of strategies and project proposals, providing insights on needs and gaps.
Implementing the delegated portfolio of project activities, managing budgets, and maintaining project documentation in accordance with proposals and donor requirements.
Supporting the development of technical guidance and standard operating procedures (SoPs).
Building the protection mainstreaming capacities of project partners and promoting their ownership of safe programming.
Identifying and sharing ideas for improvements and necessary changes in programming and advocacy.
Extracting key learnings from project implementation and incorporating them into action plans.
Providing regular progress reports to management.
Ensuring proper filing and documentation of project-related documents.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the Project Coordinator position include:
A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a humanitarian context, particularly with UN agencies or international/local NGOs.
At least 2 years of professional experience specifically in protection mainstreaming.
Demonstrated working proficiency in multi-sectoral emergency response, including food assistance, non-food items (NFIs), and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) programs.
Previous experience in complex and volatile contexts, showcasing the ability to adapt and respond to challenging situations.
Strong command of both oral and written English, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Strong coordination and interpersonal skills, essential for working collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.
Documented results related to the responsibilities of the position, demonstrating a track record of successful project management.
