Job Overview: The GBV Working Group Coordinator position is crucial for addressing gender-based violence (GBV) in Lebanon, particularly in the context of the ongoing humanitarian crisis. The coordinator will work under the supervision of the international program coordinator and closely with the UNFPA GBV programme specialist to facilitate and coordinate multi-sectoral, inter-agency GBV interventions. The coordinator will strengthen inter-agency coordination by promoting communication between national and sub-national GBV coordination groups and ensuring a standardized response to GBV. They will also advocate for resources and mobilize support for inter-agency GBV activities, coach GBV coordinators at the sub-national level, and provide technical support for advocacy and policy development. Additionally, the coordinator will engage in information management by analyzing secondary data on GBV trends, conducting assessments, and training partners on GBV incident reporting. Administrative duties include writing monthly reports documenting progress against work plan outputs and other required tasks.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced master's degree in social work, social sciences, public health, international relations, law" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">international law, human rights, or a related field. They should have at least 7 years of experience working on gender-based violence, with a minimum of 4 years at the international level, preferably in a humanitarian context.
