Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Procurement Officer include:
Performing administrative procurement activities efficiently to support the acquisition of goods and services.
Compiling data and preparing documents to support procurement programs, including issuing tenders and evaluating offers.
Reviewing and prioritizing purchasing requests, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and funding is available.
Coordinating and monitoring the delivery of procurement requisitions, verifying receipt and inspection of deliverables.
Researching and presenting information in standard formats to facilitate informed decision-making.
Managing and maintaining databases and records to ensure accuracy and availability of information.
Liaising with internal counterparts to align procurement activities with wider programs.
Following emergency preparedness practices to ensure rapid response to crises. 1

Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the Procurement Officer position include:
Completion of secondary school education; a university degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or Finance is preferred.
At least five years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, supply chain, or relevant administrative roles within the humanitarian sector.
Proven experience in conducting procurement activities and developing reports.
Experience in working with suppliers or third parties on a daily basis is essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Educational Background: Candidates must have completed secondary school education, with a university degree in a relevant field such as Supply Chain, Business Management, or Finance being advantageous. Experience: The position requires a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in procurement or supply chain management, particularly within the humanitarian sector. Candidates should have a solid track record of managing procurement activities, conducting analyses, and developing reports, as well as experience in daily interactions with suppliers or third parties.
Languages: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Arabic is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of French is considered an added advantage, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate in a multilingual environment and engage with diverse stakeholders.
