Job Overview:
The Graphic Designer position at WFP is crucial for providing high-quality graphic design, visual communications, and multimedia support to the Communications team, Programme teams, and Field Offices. The role is designed to enhance the visibility of WFP's programs and operations in Lebanon. The incumbent will be responsible for producing corporate communication materials, donor visibility products, digital content, and field-based storytelling. This position requires a strong understanding of visual communication principles and the ability to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines. The Graphic Designer will work closely with various teams to ensure that all communication products align with WFP's branding guidelines and accessibility standards, contributing to the overall mission of the organization to provide effective humanitarian assistance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to: producing high-quality internal and external communication products such as reports, programme highlights, fact sheets, donor presentations, and storytelling documents; creating beneficiary information materials including posters, leaflets, banners, infographics, and multimedia products; designing static and animated social media graphics in both Arabic and English; supporting donor visibility efforts through the design and production of visibility materials; conducting photographic editing and manipulation; enhancing WFP Lebanon's digital and external communication platforms; providing technical advice on communication and design materials developed by partners; maintaining standardized templates and visual identity resources; supporting field visibility efforts through communication materials for various activities; assisting in content creation processes; establishing and maintaining a structured archive of graphic design files; and ensuring compliance with WFP branding guidelines and accessibility standards.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign. They should have strong experience in designing publications, digital communication products, and reports. A solid understanding of visual communication principles, branding, and layout design is essential. Additionally, candidates should have experience producing content for social media and digital platforms, as well as the ability to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is also required, along with strong file management and organizational skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Educational Background:
The minimum educational requirement for this position is the completion of secondary school education. However, a university degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Multimedia Design, Communications, Audio-Visual Production, or a related field is preferred and will enhance the candidate's qualifications for the role.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in graphic design, visual communications, multimedia production, or related fields. This experience should demonstrate a strong capability in producing high-quality design work and managing multiple projects effectively.

Languages:
Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Arabic is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of the French language is considered an added advantage, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate in a multilingual environment.

Additional Notes:
The position is for a duration of six (6) months, with the possibility of renewal based on the availability of funds, business needs, and performance. The incumbent is expected to provide services on a when actually employed basis, typically three (3) working days per week, preferably on a fixed schedule to ensure business continuity. This arrangement is expected to result in approximately twelve (12) to fifteen (15) working days per month, with additional days potentially requested on an exceptional basis.
