Job Overview:
The Full-Stack Developer position is a critical role within the Information Technology Services (ITS) unit of IARC. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting and maintaining IARC’s management information systems, which include cloud-based software, enterprise resource planning systems, workflows, business intelligence platforms, and travel management systems. The role emphasizes the importance of seamless integration and synchronization between these systems to facilitate effective communication and operations across IARC’s business applications. The developer will work closely with the Information System Officer and will be expected to gather technical specifications, implement and develop software components, and maintain existing applications. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to enhancing IARC’s IT services and infrastructure.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Full-Stack Developer will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Developing and integrating applications for the information system by gathering, refining, and writing technical specifications to meet business needs; implementing and developing components according to these specifications; creating and maintaining software documentation; assisting in the integration of new products; and collaborating with suppliers.
  • Maintaining the software components of the IARC Management Information System by ensuring continuous operation of applications, enhancing existing applications, transferring knowledge to IT support teams, and resolving escalated issues.
  • Supporting users by preparing end-user documentation, providing second-level support, and identifying or creating training materials.
  • Ensuring cybersecurity by enforcing policies, monitoring applications, and collaborating with the security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">information security officer to promote secure usage among IARC employees.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a set of essential qualifications, including strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work on multiple projects simultaneously. The candidate must demonstrate professionalism and flexibility in assisting others, possess the ability to write relevant technical documentation, and have advanced knowledge of SQL Server Technology, web development technologies, and programming languages such as CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. Desirable qualifications include knowledge of content management systems, data visualization solutions, and familiarity with ERP systems.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have completed secondary school education, along with two years of specialized studies in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field recognized by a diploma. A university degree in computer science or a related field is desirable but not mandatory.

Experience:
The position requires at least five years of relevant experience in managing IT services. Experience working at the international level, particularly within organizations of the UN family, is considered an asset.

Languages:
Candidates must possess excellent knowledge of English or French, with a working knowledge of the other language being advantageous. This bilingual requirement is essential for effective communication within the organization and with international partners.

Additional Notes:
The position offers a fixed remuneration of EUR 3,766 per month, net of income tax, and includes various benefits such as leave allowances for dependent family members. Employment status is that of an international civil servant, and the position is subject to local recruitment, ideally targeting candidates residing within the local commuting area of Lyon.
