Job Overview: The position of Contrôleur financier is based in Lyon and reports to the Financial Management Department of HI. The successful candidate will join the financial control team of the federal network and national associations on a permanent contract (CDI). The role involves ensuring financial management, budget oversight, and internal control within the designated scope, adhering to local standards and HI's financial framework. The Contrôleur financier will provide operational support to management, teams within their scope, and governance bodies while contributing to cross-functional missions for the federal network. Close collaboration with the Director is essential to strengthen governance and financial planning across the network.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Contrôleur financier will be responsible for several key areas:
**Accounting and Treasury Management**: Contributing to monthly and annual accounting closures in collaboration with HI's shared services. Monitoring cash flow and anticipating financing needs. Coordinating statutory audits and maintaining relationships with auditors.
**Compliance and Internal Control**: Ensuring compliance with legal, fiscal, and regulatory obligations (annual accounts, VAT). Contributing to the continuous improvement of internal control and risk management processes.
**Budget Management and Financial Control**: Developing, monitoring, and revising budgets. Establishing and analyzing financial indicators (KPIs), tracking variances, and identifying risks. Preparing operating accounts, financial reporting, and materials for the General Assembly. Providing support and guidance to budget managers.
**Institutional Funding Management**: Supporting the financial management of institutional contracts, including budgets, amendments, reports, cash flow monitoring, and audits. Acting as a liaison with Program teams, Institutional Funding, and HI's Federation.
**Cross-Functional Missions within HI**: Overseeing financial management for other national associations or shared services as needed. Conducting cross-functional financial analyses, ad-hoc studies, or contributing to structural projects (process improvements, deployment of tools within national associations, the federation, or programs).
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong command of financial management, accounting, and financial control. Proficiency in Excel and Windows tools is essential. Familiarity with HI's internal software, particularly Navision and the funding contract module, is required. The ideal candidate should demonstrate autonomy, rigor, and strong organizational skills. They must be capable of analyzing situations, proposing improvements, and directing actions towards solutions. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multicultural environment in both French and English are necessary. Educational Background: A relevant educational background in finance, accounting, or a related field is required for this position. Candidates should have formal qualifications that demonstrate their expertise in financial management and control.
Experience: The position requires a significant level of experience in financial management, accounting, and internal control. Candidates should have a proven track record in similar roles, demonstrating their ability to manage financial processes effectively and contribute to organizational goals.
Languages: Fluency in French is mandatory, and proficiency in English is also required. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not mandatory.
