Job Overview: The Grants and Partnership Coordinator plays a crucial role in developing and monitoring the partnership and financial strategy of the mission. This position involves inter-departmental coordination and providing strategic support on donor relations, contract cycle management, implementation partnerships, external compliance, and accountability to funders. The Coordinator will manage a local partnership officer and a grant manager, collaborating closely with the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director and Deputy Country Director. The role is essential in managing a significant number of contracts and projects, ensuring high reporting standards, and enhancing the capacity of partners in reporting, which is vital for the mission's success.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the partnership and financial strategy for the mission.
Coordinate inter-departmental efforts to ensure alignment with the mission's objectives.
Manage relationships with donors and ensure compliance with their requirements.
Oversee the contract management cycle, ensuring timely reporting and accountability.
Provide strategic support to the mission on partnership management and capacity building.
Conduct pre-evaluations of potential partners and manage risks associated with partnerships.
Facilitate training sessions for partners on reporting and compliance.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of partnerships and make recommendations for improvement.
Ensure that the mission adheres to security protocols and manage risks associated with the deteriorating security context.
Required Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of donor funding mechanisms, rules, and procedures.
Proven experience in project reporting and proposal writing.
Excellent team management skills, including hierarchical management and capacity building.
Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to produce high-quality written reports.
Initiative, rigor, and autonomy in managing tasks and responsibilities.
Adaptability and strong coordination skills to work effectively in a challenging environment.
Educational Background: A university degree (Bac + 4/5) in Political Science, International Relations, International Development, or a related field is required for this position.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in the humanitarian sector is required, with at least 3-4 years in a similar role. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing grants and partnerships in a humanitarian context.
Languages: Fluency in French is mandatory, and proficiency in English is highly desirable. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset.

The role is based in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, and is not open to family status or housing status. The salary starts at EUR 2860 gross per month, plus a monthly per diem of EUR 55
The organization covers accommodation costs and travel expenses between the expatriate's home country and the mission location. Expatriates benefit from comprehensive health coverage and accident insurance, including war risks. Breaks are provided every three months during the mission, with additional days off accrued for each month worked.
