Job Overview:
The FSL Coordinator plays a crucial role as a technical advisor, contributing to the development of the programmatic strategy in the field of security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Food Security and Livelihood (FSL). This position is vital for ensuring the quality and relevance of proposed technical approaches, aligning FSL activities with the needs of local populations, and coordinating the project cycle, particularly the operational monitoring of FSL programs in the intervention country. The FSL Coordinator is also responsible for capitalizing on and improving Solidarités International's methods and techniques in the FSL domain. Given the current context of impending famine and security constraints in the areas of intervention, the role is both challenging and critical.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The FSL Coordinator's responsibilities include supporting the ongoing implementation of FSL activities, scaling up FSL programming, particularly food assistance through cash and voucher modalities, and formalizing intervention methodologies by designing tools and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for implementation. The Coordinator will closely monitor FSL projects and activities, including tracking indicators, budget consumption, and addressing operational issues. Additionally, the FSL Coordinator will represent the organization in FSL Cluster meetings and contribute to the development of the FSL strategy.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree, preferably a Master’s Degree, in a relevant field such as Agricultural Sciences, Nutrition, Food Security, or Livelihoods. They should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with 3-4 years in similar positions. Technical skills required include knowledge and experience in implementing FSL projects in emergency contexts, coordination of overall humanitarian programs, and familiarity with cash programming and market analysis. Knowledge of livelihood restoration projects and Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) programming is also essential.

Educational Background:
A university degree is required, with a preference for a Master’s Degree in fields related to Agricultural Sciences, Nutrition, Food Security, or Livelihoods. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of food security and livelihoods in humanitarian settings.

Experience:
The position requires at least 5 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with a specific focus on Food Security and Livelihoods.
