Job Overview:
The Field Coordinator serves as the delegated director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director for a specific region in which Solidarités International operates. This role involves proposing a regional strategy based on the geopolitical and humanitarian context and ensuring its implementation upon validation. The Field Coordinator is responsible for overseeing project execution in alignment with the Solidarités International charter and internal procedures. This includes mobilizing necessary resources, managing teams, ensuring their security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, and acting as the direct contact and representative for the Country Director. The position requires the ability to work under high-stress conditions and manage teams effectively in conflict zones.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Field Coordinator's responsibilities include:
  • Coordination and strategic orientation of operations.
  • Ensuring operational quality and monitoring of projects.
  • Managing resources effectively, including financial and material resources.
  • Overseeing human resource management and team coordination.
  • Ensuring the security of staff in the assigned area.
  • Maintaining relationships with financial backers and seeking funding opportunities.
  • Handling internal and external communications.
  • Representing the organization in various forums and discussions.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong knowledge in team management and mentoring, with the ability to handle multiple issues and adapt quickly to a constantly evolving environment. They should be capable of managing a high workload and prioritizing tasks under tight deadlines. Good representational skills are essential, along with the ability to liaise with INGOs, authorities, and donors. A solid understanding of security management and humanitarian issues, including IDPs and camp management, is required. Candidates must also be proficient in writing and editing quality reports in English.

Educational Background:
The ideal candidate should have an educational background in logistics, transport, warehousing, IT, supply chain, or management. A degree in a related field is preferred, along with relevant training in humanitarian aid or project management.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with prior experience in a similar position being advantageous. Experience working in conflict zones and managing teams under high-stress conditions is crucial for this role.

Languages:
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory. Proficiency in Arabic is considered a strong asset, enhancing communication with local communities and stakeholders.

The living conditions in Gaza are described as very harsh due to ongoing conflict and disruptions to basic services, leading to high health risks and stress. The compensation package includes a gross monthly salary starting from EUR 3080, a monthly per diem of USD 750, accommodation costs, and travel expenses covered by the organization. Additionally, expatriates benefit from a comprehensive insurance package covering healthcare expenses and essential vaccinations.
