Job Overview:
The position of Asociado/a de Movilización de Recursos at WFP in Bolivia is crucial for strengthening and diversifying the organization's partnership base to meet the objectives outlined in the Country Strategic Plan (CSP). The role involves supporting the implementation of activities related to partnership development, resource mobilization, communication, and institutional visibility. The incumbent will work under the supervision of the unit head, contributing to the establishment and maintenance of relationships with current and potential partners, as well as preparing technical materials, reports, and communication products that enhance WFP's positioning in Bolivia. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying funding opportunities and trends, ensuring that WFP's initiatives are well-supported and effectively communicated to stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the Asociado/a de Movilización de Recursos include:
  • Supporting the implementation of the country office's partnership work plan, contributing to the identification and maintenance of relationships with strategic partners from the public and private sectors, international organizations, and other relevant actors.
  • Monitoring partner management activities, including information collection, database updates, funding opportunity tracking, and institutional relationship support.
  • Collecting, organizing, and analyzing information on funding trends, donor priorities, and cooperation opportunities to diversify WFP's partner portfolio.
  • Keeping partner and donor information updated in corporate systems (Salesforce, WINGS, etc.), ensuring data quality and timeliness.
  • Coordinating with various units within the country office to gather technical and programmatic inputs required for proposal development, donor reports, institutional presentations, and other related documents.
  • Assisting in the preparation of funding proposals, narrative reports, concept notes, project profiles, visibility documents, and other products required for partners and donors.
  • Providing technical and administrative support in drafting, reviewing, and following up on cooperation agreements, memorandums of understanding, and other collaboration instruments with different stakeholders.
  • Supporting the organization of meetings, missions, events, partner visits, and institutional representation activities, ensuring proper logistical coordination and follow-up on commitments made.
  • Collaborating in identifying and mitigating risks related to partnership activities, resource mobilization, and institutional communication. 1
  • Contributing to the implementation of institutional relationship and visibility activities linked to partnership management and resource mobilization, ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines and commitments made to partners and donors. 1
  • Developing and coordinating institutional and technical materials to support relationships with partners and donors, including presentations, information sheets, impact stories, newsletters, digital platform content, and other positioning and visibility resources. 1
  • Performing other related functions as assigned to support the objectives of the unit and the country office.

Required Qualifications:
The minimum qualifications required for this position include:
  • Bolivian nationality or foreign nationality with a valid work permit at the time of application.
  • A university degree in International Relations, Social Sciences, Communication, Business Administration, International Development, Political Science, or other fields relevant to the position.
  • Desirable: Courses in fundraising.
  • At least five (5) years of relevant work experience in resource mobilization, partnership management, and project proposal development.
  • Experience in managing and following up on development projects or programs.
  • Experience in coordinating and engaging with international organizations and entities from the public or private sectors.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a university degree in a relevant field such as International Relations, Social Sciences, Communication, Business Administration, International Development, Political Science, or other related areas. Additional training or courses in fundraising are considered desirable and may enhance a candidate's profile for this position.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in resource mobilization, partnership management, and project proposal development. This experience should include managing and following up on development projects or programs, as well as coordinating and engaging with international organizations and entities from both the public and private sectors. The ability to demonstrate a successful track record in these areas is essential for this role.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, while intermediate to advanced knowledge of English is also required. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset and could enhance a candidate's competitiveness for the position.
