Job Overview:
The Asistente de Programas will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of WFP's programmatic activities. This position requires a proactive individual who can provide technical, operational, and administrative support to ensure the efficient execution of projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high-quality information, ensuring proper project follow-up, and coordinating with various stakeholders. The role also emphasizes the integration of cross-cutting approaches, including Gender, Protection, and Inclusion (GPI), to achieve the unit's objectives and results. The Asistente de Programas will work closely with internal units, field offices, and external partners to facilitate effective program execution and monitoring.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the Asistente de Programas include providing technical and administrative support in the development, implementation, and monitoring of projects and programmatic activities. This involves ensuring compliance with WFP's policies and procedures, managing project data, and maintaining communication with internal and external stakeholders. The role also includes collecting and analyzing relevant programmatic information for reporting and documentation purposes, coordinating logistics for field activities, and supporting the organization of meetings and training sessions. Additionally, the Asistente de Programas will contribute to the monitoring of indicators, risks, and operational challenges, and will assist in identifying opportunities for improvement. Other related tasks may be assigned by the supervisor to support the unit's objectives.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be Bolivian nationals or foreigners with a valid work permit at the time of application. A minimum of three years of specific work experience in development projects is required, along with experience in participatory processes, data collection, and report formulation. Experience working with governmental institutions or NGOs, as well as with international organizations, particularly the United Nations, is highly valued. Proficiency in office software tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential, along with familiarity with logical frameworks, indicators, and budgeting processes.

Educational Background:
A university degree in fields related to agronomy, economics, nutrition, project management, social sciences, or related areas is required for this position. This educational background will provide the necessary foundation for understanding the complexities of food security and programmatic implementation.

Experience:
The position requires at least three years of relevant work experience in development projects. Candidates should have a proven track record of working in participatory processes, data collection, and report writing. Experience with governmental institutions, NGOs, and international organizations, especially within the UN system, will be considered an asset.

Languages:
Fluency in spoken and written Spanish is mandatory for this position. A basic to intermediate knowledge of English is also desirable, as it may facilitate communication with international partners and stakeholders.
