Job Overview:
The position of Nutricionista at WFP involves providing specialized technical and programmatic support to counterparts and internal teams in Bolivia for the planning, management, implementation, monitoring, and advocacy of nutrition interventions. The role ensures technical quality, institutional coordination, results-oriented approaches, compliance with WFP standards, and alignment with national and territorial priorities. The Nutricionista will contribute to the design and management of nutrition interventions, ensuring they align with institutional and national priorities, and integrate technical, operational, and monitoring components. This position requires a proactive approach to providing technical assistance and support for various nutrition projects, including school feeding, food fortification, and maternal and child nutrition, particularly in emergency contexts, resilience building, and climate change adaptation. The Nutricionista will also conduct context analysis, identify needs, and review evidence to support the design and prioritization of nutrition interventions, ensuring effective implementation in coordination with public institutions, implementing partners, and territorial teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Nutricionista will be responsible for a range of duties including: contributing to the design, planning, and technical management of WFP's nutrition interventions; providing technical assistance and support for nutrition projects; conducting context analysis and needs assessments; ensuring the implementation of nutrition activities in coordination with relevant stakeholders; contributing to the technical positioning of WFP and strengthening policies and strategic partnerships in nutrition; facilitating coordination with government entities, international cooperation, academia, civil society, and other relevant actors; identifying opportunities for institutionalization, sustainability, and scaling of interventions; contributing to monitoring, evaluation, and learning of nutrition interventions; preparing technical reports and documentation of best practices; and performing other related functions as required by supervision according to the needs of WFP Bolivia.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bolivian nationality or be a foreign national with a valid work permit at the time of application. The position requires a professional background in Nutrition, Public Health, Food Engineering, or related fields. A postgraduate degree or specialization in public health, community nutrition, social program management, food security, or public policy is desirable. Candidates should have a strong understanding of nutrition and food security, public health, and the design and implementation of interventions, as well as knowledge of Bolivia's national nutrition and public health regulatory framework, gender approaches, and interculturality. Proficiency in data analysis and the use of relevant software tools is also required.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a professional degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Food Engineering, or other related fields. A postgraduate degree or specialization in areas such as public health, community nutrition, social program management, food security, or public policy is highly desirable and will enhance the candidate's qualifications for the role.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in nutrition programs or projects, public health, food security, social protection, or development. Specific experience in planning, managing, implementing, monitoring, or evaluating nutrition interventions is essential. Experience working with public management, advocacy, inter-institutional coordination, capacity strengthening, and working with vulnerable populations is also desirable.

Languages:
Excellent command of oral and written Spanish is required for this position. A desirable intermediate level of English is also beneficial, as it may facilitate communication and collaboration in a multicultural environment.
