Job Overview:
The IAEA internship-programme" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Internship Programme is designed to provide students with the opportunity to gain practical work experience in line with their studies or interests, while also exposing them to the work of the IAEA and the broader United Nations system. Interns will have the chance to contribute to the IAEA's programs through their assistance in various human resources functions. The internship is typically for a duration of 12 months, allowing interns to immerse themselves in the organization's operations and gain valuable insights into the field of human resources within an international context. Interns may be assigned to different areas within the Division of Human Resources (MTHR), including HR Management, HR Services, and HR Development, depending on the programmatic needs of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be expected to conduct background research on HR matters, which may involve reviewing academic research papers, analyzing best practices from both the private and public sectors, and studying policies and guidelines from other international organizations. They will support the development of promotional and outreach materials and coordinate activities and events aimed at enhancing awareness and knowledge in various HR areas. Additionally, interns will respond to requests for guidance on HR-related topics, contribute to the design and facilitation of training sessions, and assist with the administration and collection of training data. They will also prepare and edit drafts of HR reports, guidelines, briefing notes, and presentations, as well as analyze and report on HR data and Key Performance Indicators as required. Furthermore, interns will support other HR activities as assigned by their supervisors.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree (in progress or recently completed) in fields such as Business Administration, Human Resources, Social Sciences, International Relations, or a related area. They should have experience in drafting documents and reports in English, and experience in an international work environment or with HR-related work is highly desirable. Proficiency in using Windows and MS Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Teams, is also required.

Educational Background:
Candidates must be a minimum of 20 years of age and have completed at least three years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards the completion of a first degree. They may apply up to one year after completing a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree. It is important to note that candidates must not have previously participated in the IAEA's internship programme.

Experience:
The level of experience required for this internship includes familiarity with drafting documents and reports in English, as well as any relevant experience in an international work environment or in roles related to Human Resources. This experience is considered highly desirable and will enhance the candidate's application.

Languages:
Good written and spoken English is essential for this position. Additionally, fluency in any other IAEA official language, such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish, or Russian, is considered an asset and may provide candidates with a competitive advantage in the selection process.
