Job Overview:
The Project Associate – Mental Health and psychosocial-support" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) will play a crucial role in the implementation of the MHPSS project under the supervision of the Chief of Mission and the National MHPSS Officer. This position is responsible for providing efficient programmatic and financial assistance, as well as support for day-to-day administrative, Human Resources (HR), and finance tasks related to the project. The Project Associate will assist in monitoring and implementing administrative, financial, and HR activities, ensuring compliance with IOM rules and regulations. The role requires maintaining organized documentation, processing staff expense claims, and coordinating office support services for various meetings and events. The Project Associate will also be involved in compiling data for donor reporting and ensuring timely submission of project-related reports. This position is vital for improving the psychosocial well-being of international protection seekers residing in the Citywest accommodation facility, thereby strengthening their overall resilience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Project Associate include: assisting the supervisor in implementing and monitoring administrative, financial, and HR activities related to the project; maintaining updated activity tracking tools and preparing internal updates; providing guidance to Programme Assistants; implementing delegated administrative actions in accordance with IOM rules; maintaining organized administrative and HR documents; processing staff expense and travel claims; assisting in purchasing necessary items for project implementation; monitoring internal administrative and financial processes; coordinating administrative and HR functions; compiling data for donor reporting; coordinating office support services for meetings and events; attending meetings, preparing minutes, and monitoring follow-up activities; and performing other relevant duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law, or a related field from an accredited academic institution, along with three years of relevant professional experience. Alternatively, a High School diploma with five years of relevant experience is acceptable. Candidates should have proven experience in a similar setting, excellent knowledge of information technology, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and experience with EU and/or international funding instruments. Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality are essential. Previous work experience in international organizations and service industry companies is advantageous.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, or Law from an accredited institution. Accredited universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. Alternatively, candidates with a High School diploma and significant relevant experience may also be considered.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience if they hold a Bachelor’s degree, or five years of relevant experience if they have a High School diploma. Proven experience in a similar role is essential, along with a strong understanding of financial management, reporting, accounting, budgeting, and internal controls. Experience in international organizations or service industry companies is preferred, as is familiarity with EU and international funding instruments.

Languages:
Fluency in English is required for this position, both oral and written. All IOM staff members are required to be fluent in one of the IOM's official languages, which include English, French, and Spanish. Proficiency in additional languages may be beneficial and will be evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
