Job Overview:
The Vocational Training Instructor (AC/Refrigerator) position at UNRWA involves supporting the design and development of learning programs and curricula tailored to vocational training in air conditioning and refrigeration. The instructor will facilitate both school-based and work-based learning programs, ensuring that training venues are properly set up and that the necessary facilities and equipment are utilized effectively. The role includes preparing inclusive training plans, monitoring learning in various environments, and employing adult learning strategies to accommodate trainees with disabilities and special learning needs. The instructor will also be responsible for preparing student assessments, maintaining linkages with employers and TVET instructors, and applying quality assurance processes throughout the training cycle. Additionally, the instructor will support initiatives related to greening and digitalization in vocational training, collaborating with other staff members to maintain a respectful and organized learning environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the design and development of learning programs and curricula, including conducting occupational and competency analyses, drafting program profiles, and integrating new technologies into the curriculum.
• Facilitate the delivery of school-based and work-based learning programs, including setting up training venues, selecting trainees, and preparing inclusive training plans.
• Prepare formative and summative assessments, develop assessment sheets, and conduct knowledge and practice-based assessments.
• Maintain linkages with employers and TVET instructors, collect labor market information, and conduct skills needs assessments.
• Apply quality assurance tools and processes according to the UNRWA TVET Quality Assurance Framework.
• Support greening and digitalization initiatives in vocational training, integrating relevant skills into training courses.
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to coordinate the teaching and learning process, maintain order and discipline, and implement co-curricular activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
Successful completion of full Secondary Education plus two years of post-secondary technical education or training with a specialization in General Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Power Engineering. Educational Background:

No prior work experience is required for this position. Languages:

Additional Notes:
This position is a daily paid assignment for up to three months, with the possibility of extension based on funding availability, satisfactory performance, and ongoing need. The daily rate for this position is $25.63, and the salary may be adjusted based on the work schedule. Employees are entitled to one day of annual leave and one day of sick leave for each completed month of service. The vacancy is open to both internal and external candidates, but only those residing in Syria and authorized to work in the duty station at the time of application are eligible. UNRWA will not facilitate work permits, and candidates must have valid authorization to work in Syria.
