Job Overview:
The TVET Instructor for Artificial Intelligence will play a crucial role in the design and delivery of vocational education and training programs. This position involves supporting the development of learning programs and curricula, conducting occupational and competency analyses, and integrating new technologies into the training process. The instructor will facilitate both school-based and work-based learning, ensuring that training venues are effectively utilized and that inclusive training plans are developed. The role also includes designing assessments to evaluate student performance, building relationships with employers and industry stakeholders, and applying quality assurance measures throughout the training cycle. The instructor will be expected to support initiatives related to greening and digitalization in vocational training, collaborate with colleagues to maintain a respectful learning environment, and perform additional duties as assigned. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the design and development of learning programs and curricula, including conducting occupational and competency analyses, drafting program profiles, and integrating emerging technologies into subject specializations.
• Facilitate the delivery of school-based and work-based learning programs, including preparing training venues, selecting trainees, and managing learning in various settings.
• Design and implement student assessments, including formative and summative evaluations, and develop inclusive assessment plans.
• Build linkages with employers and industry stakeholders, utilizing labor market information to inform training courses and conducting skills needs assessments.
• Apply quality assurance tools and processes in accordance with UNRWA's TVET Quality Assurance Framework.
• Support greening and digitalization initiatives by designing and implementing relevant training programs.
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to maintain a respectful environment, implement co-curricular activities, and ensure adherence to Occupational Health and Safety measures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior TVET Instructor or Deputy Principal of the Training Centre.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree of four years from an accredited institution in a relevant field such as Computer Engineering, Informatics/Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Information Technology. While no specific work experience is required, candidates should indicate any involvement in outside activities, including teaching, public speaking, or volunteer work, as this may be considered during the selection process. It is essential that candidates provide accurate and complete information regarding their qualifications and experience.

Educational Background:
A four-year university degree from an accredited educational institution in a major specialization related to the position, such as Computer Engineering, Informatics/Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Information Technology, is required. This educational background is crucial for understanding the technical aspects of the training programs and for effectively teaching students in the field of artificial intelligence.

Experience:

Additional Notes:
The contract type for this position is a Daily Paid Assignment for up to three months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability. The daily rate for this position is $29.17, and the salary may be subject to a reduced work schedule. Additional benefits include one day of annual leave and one day of sick leave for each completed month of service. This vacancy is open to both internal and external candidates, but only those residing in Syria and authorized to work in the duty station at the time of application are eligible.
