Job Overview:
The TVET Instructor for Renewable Energy will play a crucial role in the design and delivery of vocational training programs aimed at enhancing the skills of Palestine refugees in the field of renewable energy. This position involves developing learning programs and curricula, conducting occupational and competency analyses, and integrating new technologies into training. The instructor will facilitate both school-based and work-based learning, ensuring that training venues are effectively utilized and that inclusive training plans are developed. The role also includes designing assessments to evaluate student performance and building relationships with employers to align training with labor market needs. The instructor will be expected to apply quality assurance measures throughout the training cycle and support initiatives related to greening and digitalization in education. Collaboration with other instructors and staff is essential to maintain a respectful and organized learning environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the design and development of learning programs and curricula, including conducting occupational and competency analyses, drafting program profiles, and integrating emerging technologies.
• Facilitate the delivery of school-based and work-based learning programs, including preparing training venues, selecting trainees, and developing inclusive training plans.
• Design and implement student assessments, including formative and summative assessments, and develop assessment sheets and implementation plans.
• Build linkages with employers and collect labor market information to inform training courses.
• Apply quality assurance tools and processes in accordance with UNRWA's TVET Quality Assurance Framework.
• Support greening and digitalization initiatives by designing and implementing relevant training programs.
• Collaborate with other instructors to maintain a respectful learning environment and implement Occupational Health and Safety measures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree of four years from an accredited institution, with a major specialization in Renewable Energy Engineering or Electrical Engineering. No specific work experience is required for this position, but candidates should indicate any relevant outside activities or involvements in their application. This includes employment, freelance work, teaching, or any other relevant experience that demonstrates their engagement in the field.

Educational Background:
A university degree of four years from an accredited educational institution in an approved course of study with a major specialization in Renewable Energy Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required for this position. This educational background is essential to ensure that the instructor has the necessary technical knowledge and skills to effectively teach and develop training programs in renewable energy.

Experience:
While no prior work experience is required for this position, candidates are encouraged to provide information about any relevant activities they have been involved in, such as teaching, consulting, or other professional engagements. This information will help the hiring committee assess the candidate's overall suitability for the role, even if they are new to the workforce or the specific field of renewable energy.

Languages:
For this position, proficiency in English and Arabic is required. Knowledge of French is considered an asset but is not mandatory for this role.

Additional Notes:
This position is a daily paid assignment for up to three months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability. The daily rate for this position is $29.17, and the salary may be subject to a reduced work schedule. Employees will receive one day of annual leave and one day of sick leave for each completed month of service. The vacancy is open to both internal and external candidates, but only those residing in Syria and authorized to work in the country at the time of application are eligible. UNRWA will not facilitate work permits, and candidates must have valid authorization to work in Syria.
