Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promote a culture of safety and principled humanitarian response in accordance with Humanitarian Principles and Programme Criticality.
• Oversee the recruitment, induction, and development of HAS staff in country offices to enhance operational leadership.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of regional contexts, providing analysis and forecasts to regional management regarding security developments and emerging threats.
• Collaborate with management to ensure appropriate mitigation measures are implemented.
• Ensure Duty of Care standards are upheld in collaboration with People & Organisation and other regional leaders.
• Conduct technical reviews of HAS management documents to ensure compliance with NRC standards.
• Support the development and implementation of access strategies across the region, ensuring a systematic approach to engagement.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of managerial experience in a humanitarian or recovery context. They should have advanced knowledge of humanitarian principles, NGO safety and risk management, and civil-military coordination.
