Job Overview:
The role of the coordinator" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Grants Coordinator is pivotal in supporting the Consortium Manager of MIRE+ or leading all tasks related to grant management at the consortium level. This includes assisting the Consortium Manager in strategic decision-making and coordinating programmatic processes. The Grants Coordinator will autonomously coordinate and prepare proposals, reports, and modifications for donors at the consortium level, support partners in preparing their documents for donors, and develop tasks related to project cycle management (PCM). Additionally, the role involves strengthening the capacities of the team in PCM, maintaining regular contact with donors, tracking potential funding opportunities, and developing, improving, and updating key grant management tools. The position requires a proactive approach to ensure compliance with donor requirements and internal policies while promoting the rights of internally displaced persons and returnees in line with NRC's advocacy strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Grants Coordinator will adhere to NRC's policies, guidelines, and procedures while considering global and regional strategies in executing functions related to this role. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining an overview of all grants, donor requirements, regulations, and deadlines, including the submission of grant documents through the upcoming grants database. The Coordinator will coordinate the development of donor applications and reports, ensuring compliance and quality control. They will also lead the preparation and review of funding proposals, budgets, and donor reports, staying updated on donor priorities and trends. The role involves documenting, analyzing, and sharing lessons learned from reporting and proposal processes, contributing to the continuous improvement of internal grant management systems. The Coordinator will provide internal support on donor-related issues, including organizing and delivering training on donor regulations and proposal writing. They will also coordinate the preparation and distribution of internal and external reports, contribute to PCM training, support external donor audits, and represent relevant partners and donors as delegated. Specific responsibilities include participating in decision-making processes related to grant management, promoting process improvement ideas, leading the coordination and delivery of quality reports and proposals to national donors, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, organizing project meetings, monitoring ongoing projects, and generating alerts on challenges and risks. The Coordinator will also ensure that key grant management documents are properly archived and updated in Office 365, coordinate tasks with finance and communications departments, follow up on new opportunities with commercial/private/development donors, and support colleagues in compliance and grant management issues.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of four years of relevant experience in the field of specialization, with significant experience in project management within the humanitarian sector. They should have experience working with donors and humanitarian/development partners, a good understanding of donor rules and regulations, and strong skills in report and proposal writing. Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with strong analytical abilities (both data and financial). The ability to mediate in high-stress scenarios with competing interests is crucial, as well as advanced computer skills. Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory, with a C1 certification preferred. Candidates should also demonstrate initiative, autonomy, and leadership capabilities.

Educational Background:
A university degree in social sciences, development, international relations, or a related field is required. Candidates should have excellent writing skills, experience in decision-making processes, and experience in organizing/coordinating processes and teamwork. A good understanding of the humanitarian system's functioning and strong analytical skills are also necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills, is indispensable. Experience with donors such as ECHO, COSUDE, BHA, and AECID will be valued.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of four years of relevant experience in the humanitarian sector, particularly in project management. Candidates should have a proven track record of working with donors and humanitarian partners, demonstrating their ability to navigate complex funding landscapes and manage grant compliance effectively.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset, but English proficiency is essential for this role.

Additional Notes:
The position is full-time and may involve travel to field locations to provide ad hoc support to teams. The role is part of a consortium, and the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the implementation of Minimum Standards for Safe and Inclusive Programming across all programs, with a focus on capacity development, guidance, and interdepartmental participation.
