Job Overview:
The Young Professionals Program (YPP) at the World Bank Group is designed for exceptional professionals who are eager to contribute to global development challenges. This program offers a unique opportunity for young professionals to apply their specialized technical expertise while gaining valuable experience across various sectors of the organization. Participants in the YPP will engage in a two-year initial contract, which is renewable based on performance. During this period, they will undertake three eight-month rotations, allowing them to work in their primary area of expertise, participate in cross-institutional projects, and gain field experience in a country office. This structure is aimed at enhancing their technical and operational knowledge while preparing them for future leadership roles within the organization. The YPP also includes a comprehensive learning and development journey through the YP Academy, which encompasses technical training, language programs, negotiation skills, and leadership development, ensuring that participants are well-equipped to tackle pressing development issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Young Professional in the Corporate security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security Directorate, you will be part of the Strategic Training, Preparedness, and Staff Development Team. Your primary responsibilities will include leading the design and development of self-paced online courses and digital learning products, ensuring they meet Learning Management System (LMS) compatibility and compliance standards. You will also be tasked with enhancing digital learning curricula by applying principles of instructional design, adult learning, and multimedia storytelling to create engaging learning experiences. Additionally, you will explore and implement AI and automation technologies to improve learning design and scalability. Continuous improvement will be a key focus, as you will utilize feedback and data to maintain high-quality digital learning products. Collaboration with colleagues across various disciplines will be essential to ensure that learning solutions are effective and impactful.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of a master’s degree in fields such as Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Digital Learning, Learning Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Multimedia/Digital Media, Education, Information Technology, or Communications. Additionally, applicants should have 2 to 6 years of relevant professional experience in designing and developing self-paced online learning and digital learning solutions. A strong understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles is essential, along with a demonstrated interest in development work and the mission of the World Bank Group. Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, or Adobe Captivate is required, along with experience in developing LMS-compatible content and knowledge of SCORM standards. Candidates should also have hands-on experience with AI-enabled tools and multimedia design, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Educational Background:
The position requires a master’s degree in a relevant field such as Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Digital Learning, Learning Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Multimedia/Digital Media, Education, Information Technology, or Communications. This educational background is crucial for understanding the principles of instructional design and the technical aspects of digital learning development.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have between 2 to 6 years of professional experience in the field of instructional design and digital learning. This experience should include a proven track record of designing and developing self-paced online learning solutions and familiarity with the latest trends and technologies in digital education. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex content into engaging learning experiences.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within the World Bank Group. Proficiency in additional languages such as French and/or Spanish is considered an advantage, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and contribute to global initiatives.
