Job Overview:

Interns will work under the supervision of project managers and will be involved in various aspects of project implementation, including planning, monitoring, and documentation of activities. Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of activities related to the Anticipatory Actions and Inclusive Insurance against Climate Risks projects. Their responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation of presentation materials, information notes, meeting minutes, and other communication products. They will also help update project management and monitoring tools, such as work plans, performance indicators, databases, and implementation calendars. Additionally, interns will participate in field missions and coordinate with national and local partners. They will contribute to the collection, analysis, and consolidation of information necessary for monitoring activities, document results, capitalize on best practices, and produce experience-sharing materials. Furthermore, interns will assist in drafting activity reports, technical notes, and other project follow-up documents, and perform any other tasks related to the project objectives as requested by supervisors.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong interest and demonstrated passion for climate finance innovation, climate risk management, and food security. They should have good analytical, synthesis, and writing skills, as well as proficiency in common office software tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with data processing tools (GIS, statistics) is considered an asset. Candidates must be either students or recent graduates, with at least two years of study completed for undergraduate candidates or recent graduates (within the last six months) for master's candidates. They should have completed coursework within the last 12 months and be fluent in French, with English proficiency being an advantage. Candidates must also be willing to travel and work at the internship location and must not have direct family ties to any WFP employee.

Educational Background:
A university degree (Bac+3) in agronomy, economics, finance, statistics, or a related field is required for this position. Candidates should have a strong academic background relevant to the internship focus areas, demonstrating their capability to contribute effectively to the projects they will be involved in.

Experience:
The position is designed for students or recent graduates, thus requiring no extensive prior work experience. However, candidates should have completed relevant coursework and possess a foundational understanding of climate risk management and food security issues. Any practical experience, such as internships or volunteer work in related fields, would be beneficial but is not mandatory.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization and the local context. Proficiency in English is considered an asset, as it may facilitate communication with international colleagues and stakeholders.
