Job Overview: The HR Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the implementation of Solidarités International's Human Resources policy. This role involves overseeing the administrative aspects of the mission and ensuring compliance with SI procedures, financial backers' requirements, and local laws. The HR Coordinator serves as the primary contact point between the mission and headquarters for any HR-related inquiries. Given the current context in Sudan, the HR Coordinator will face challenges such as ambiguous labor laws, local authority interference, and administrative constraints that may cause delays. The initial focus for the first few months will be on transitioning coordination to Khartoum, establishing HR operations, building relationships with local authorities, and supporting staff through potential changes and restructuring.
Duties and Responsibilities: The HR Coordinator's duties include implementing and monitoring HR policies and procedures, managing recruitment processes, overseeing performance management, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws. The role also involves maintaining HR information systems, facilitating learning and development opportunities for staff, and providing administrative support. The HR Coordinator will need to build constructive relationships with local authorities, manage administrative requirements, and support staff during the transition to Khartoum. Additionally, the HR Coordinator will be responsible for addressing any HR-related issues that arise and ensuring that the mission's HR practices align with SI's standards and local regulations.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field. A minimum of three years of experience in an HR Coordinator or similar role is required, with experience in the humanitarian sector being highly desirable. Familiarity with SI's operations is an added advantage. The ideal candidate should demonstrate proven technical skills in recruitment, performance management, and HR information management, as well as strong administrative management capabilities. Transversal skills such as effective communication, problem-solving, organizational adaptability, and leadership are also essential.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Additional Notes: The position is a salaried role with compensation starting from EUR 2860 gross per month, which includes a base salary and an annual leave allowance. Additionally, a monthly per diem of USD 750 is provided. SI covers accommodation costs and travel expenses for expatriates. The organization implements a work-break system, allowing for breaks every three months, along with an additional rest day for each month worked.
