ACF's long-term strategy is centered around resilience-building to lower the vulnerability of populations in the Sahel region. In 2023, ACF implements 13 programs across 7 provinces in Chad, including Kanem, Bar El Gazal, Lac, Logone Oriental, Ouadaï, Dar Sila, and Hadjer Lamis. Job Overview:
As the Responsable Logistique Volant·e, you will provide support to the logistics and program teams implementing ACF projects from various bases in Chad. Your role will involve ensuring the smooth operation of the supply chain according to ACF standards, managing logistics projects, enhancing team capacities through training, assisting bases in stock and asset management, and implementing recommendations from internal and external audits. This position is critical in ensuring that logistical operations are efficient and effective, directly impacting the success of humanitarian interventions in the field. You will be expected to work in a dynamic environment, adapting to the challenges of humanitarian logistics while maintaining high standards of service delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the logistics teams in the management of supply chains, ensuring compliance with ACF standards.
  • Participate in logistics project management, contributing to planning and execution.
  • Strengthen the capacities of local teams by providing training and guidance on logistics best practices.
  • Assist in the management of stocks and assets at various bases, ensuring accurate inventory control.
  • Implement recommendations from audits to improve logistics processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with program teams to ensure that logistical needs are met for ongoing projects.
  • Monitor and report on logistics activities, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Engage in field missions to support logistics operations in remote areas, ensuring that all logistical aspects are addressed effectively.
  • Maintain communication with other departments to facilitate coordination and collaboration on projects.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a BAC+3 degree in logistics management or a related field, along with significant experience in procurement, particularly in managing tenders and purchasing procedures. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role is required, preferably within NGOs and emergency humanitarian contexts. Previous experience with Action contre la Faim is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate a proven ability to support logistical and operational bases, with strong skills in working effectively in complex environments.

Educational Background:
The position requires a minimum educational qualification of a BAC+3 degree in logistics management or a related discipline. This educational background should provide a solid foundation in logistics principles, supply chain management, and operational support, which are essential for the role.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of relevant experience in logistics management, particularly in humanitarian settings. Experience in NGOs and emergency response situations is preferred, as it equips candidates with the necessary skills to navigate the challenges of humanitarian logistics effectively. Familiarity with ACF's operational context will be an advantage.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is essential for communication and reporting. Knowledge of French is also highly beneficial, given the operational context in Chad. Additional languages relevant to the local context may be considered an asset.

This position is offered on a fixed-term contract under French law for a duration of 3.5 months, concluding on 14/07/202
  • The gross monthly salary ranges from €2130 to €2475, depending on experience, and includes a 13th-month salary. Non-French citizens will receive a retirement insurance reimbursement of 16% of their gross monthly salary. The base salary is subject to a 6% increase every 12 months of continuous contract. Monthly per diem and living expenses amount to €838 net, paid on the ground, along with a monthly contextual allowance of €45
  • An annual child allowance of €1500 per child is provided for children residing in the home country, with a maximum of €6000 per year. Transportation and accommodation costs are covered, and medical coverage includes 100% reimbursement of health insurance contributions and medical expenses, extending up to one month after contract termination. Salary maintenance provisions are available for illness, maternity, and paternity. Employees are entitled to 25 days of annual leave and 20 rest and recuperation days, with travel costs covered for breaks.
